| Rustic
decoration. This restaurant was founded
in 1943 when its previous owner, Nicolás
Goirigolzarri, established the headquarters
of the "Club de los Gordos". Nicolás
Fernández took over the management
in 1990.
The Chef is Tintxu Fernández and
the wine expert is Álvaro Fernández,
who was chosen as the most outstanding "Sumiller"
in the Basque country by the Magazine "Vino
y Gastronomía", and was also
Basque Country Champion in 2000 and "Nariz
de Oro" runner-up in 1999 and 2003.
